Introduction

Sam James is a PhD Candidate on the Digital Health and Care CDT. His PhD project focuses on type 1 diabetes management, particularly closed-loop artificial pancreas systems and potential of including physiological data from wearable devices into their algorithms. This work has engaged with users to ensure that outputs from the project are relevant to them, which resulted in a publication looking at the impact of life transitions on chronic condition management.
