Introduction

I graduated from NYU Shanghai in 2021 with a degree in Interactive Media and Business and a minor in Global Public Health Studies. I am apart of the Digital Health and Care CDT and I am supervised by Anne Roudaut and Angela Attwood. My research focuses on the user experience of those purchasing alcohol on online grocery shopping platforms. I am specifically looking to change purchasing behavior by counter-acting dark patterns on e-commerce websites with health promoting choice-architecture informed interventions. The aim of my work is to come up with early policy frameworks as they relate to health promotion behavior in the UK.

The Bristol Interaction Group is a creative interdisciplinary team with a mission to improve peoples’ lives through the design of better technologies. We study interactions between humans and technology, design novel interfaces and devices, critically examine social and environmental impact, and deploy and evaluate new interaction paradigms in everyday life settings. We follow responsible innovation principles and seek to promote creativity and opportunities for science and innovation that are socially desirable and undertaken in the public interest. Our biggest strength is our diversity: we are computer scientists, psychologists, social scientists, human factors engineers, material engineers and artists, and we draw from and create innovative synergies across a wide range of disciplines.
