Final year PhD student, Jessica Cauchard, is a finalist for the highly competitive Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
She has been invited to visit the Google Zurich Office for the Google EMEA Scholars’ Retreat where she will have the opportunity to attend technical talks on Google products, network with other scholars and participate
in social activities. This scholarship aims at encouraging women to excel in computing and technology, and become active role models and leaders. Places are awarded based on the strength of candidates’ academic performance, leadership experience and demonstrated passion for computer science. Jessica’s research is focussing on improving usability for projector phones and other mobile devices that contain more than one screen.
